You hear about that dang Table Mountain and Waterfront – swoon. It doesn’t cover the proper picture of what it’s like to LIVE in Cape Town. Paying bills that come in the mail and not after a hearty meal sucks in every city, but the way of life AFTER the expenses tells the real story.
To those weighing up the pros and cons of Cape Town – this one’s for you.
The Hikes – Fresh air and views to die for. Fit bitch or couch bunny, there will be a walk/hike for you. And for the most part – IT’S SAFE.
The Events – WHICH ONE?? Gallery Openings, Short-Film Screenings, Markets – OH MY! Last night I attended Temporium, a sprout of The Avant Garden – Local designers of all walks of creativity coming together to showcase their incredible work. This city is fast paced and creating your own string of events is not only possible – it’s encouraged! Below-left is the beautiful AWESOME lady behind The Avant Garden – the other two are just super-hot babes with reasonable talent. Hot dayyym.
The Restaurants – If you have Crohn’s disease/Gluten Intolerance or just a fussy damn eater – come to Cape Town! They cater for every diet fad on the go and you can dine at a different restaurant every day and NEVER run out of places of try. #TheBest.
The Sunsets – Pointless to make a caption for this shit-hot pic.
Nobody’s perfect yo… there is no hate – just some irritation.
THE WIND – It’s going to be cold, it’s going to annoy the shit out of you and it’s going to blow your everything everywhere. Just understand this and all will be fine. No skirts. Ever. Unless you’re into flashing the goods for the low-class boys in the yard.
The DRIVERS – Why honk your horn all the time? Calm your tits. Why indicate? CAUSE YOU MIGHT KILL PEOPLE. #TheEnd.
Paid Parking – You’re an asshole. Whoever decided that this was the way to control the traffic – you have won. Walking has never seemed so nice… but be careful – WIND.
So yeah – I absolutely LOVE my new city and will continue to love it besides it’s flaws, let’s face it – POSITIVE attitude saves brain cells.
